Spreads were up as the rate was heading sharply South, but you shouldn’t have seen a gap bigger than 8.7 pips. The Cable’s daily average is 1.19 pips and both of the sides were 5.7 pips apart yesterday Pound/Dollar’s high and low difference of 88 pips was recorded during a rise of point 55%, but most of the gains have been given up. Spreads were higher than usual for a while yesterday at a half past noon GMT during the US data run, but you shouldn’t have been charged more than 5.7 pips. And last up for this overview is the Dollar/Yen, which has long term average and maximum spreads of point 36 and 9.1 pips respectively. Greenback has surged against the Yen, gaining a massive 2.64% or 287 pip to hit the daily high of 111 67. While most of the volatility took place today, spreads peaked yesterday at 12:30 PM GMT during the US data releases. Both of the sides separated during a surge, but make sure your broker hasn’t increased them artificially above the daily max of 9.1 pips. So that`s it for Friday`s primary Spike Controller.
