The Cable’s long term average and maximum spreads are point 9 and 9.3 pips respectively. Last 24 hours have been bearish for this pair, it has declined by point 61% or 96 pips. Spreads were sent higher by the US data out yesterday at a half past noon GMT here as well, but 9.3 pips is the biggest separation you should have seen. Dollar/Yen has all three averages below point 3 pips and daily peak is 5.8 pips. Greenback declined by point 54% against the Yen to define the daily volatility of 67 pips, but it rose from the low of 123 91.
