Traded volume is in line with the monthly average, but most traders had anticipated the Common Currency will continue its advance as long positions are up by 23%. This makes losses quite likely. The Cable is looking quite bearish as well, as a gradual decline of 72 pips left it point 23% in the red at midday. Traded volume is close to this pair’s usual amount and, once again, traders did not anticipate the decline as the sentiment is bullish at 18% long. This suggests they may be facing losses. Dollar/Yen has seen its share of volatility, but the pair was back near the opening level after walking in the total range of 42 pips. Trading has been slower than usual, and the neutral trader’s sentiment stands at 5% short. Success depends on timing, although it could be limited by the low volume. Pound/Yen is yet another pair that has seen a decline, which left it point 23% in the red at 12 o’clock. Trading has been quite typical in terms of volume, and the sentiment is neutral at just 1% short. Bears did have good opportunities for profit throughout the session, but this has not been a good day for bulls. And Euro/Yen did recover some ground late in the session, but it still was point 32% down from the opening level at noon. Trading has been more active than usual, but, once again, traders did not expect the decline as long positions are up by 23%.
