You’re watching another Dukascopy Economic Calendar. Here’s a rundown of the most important news releases scheduled for Monday, the 29th of August.
UK markets will be closed for the Summer Bank Holiday, and the first item on the schedule comes at 12:30 PM GMT, when US Personal Income and Spending for July is released. Both income and spending continued growing at a steady pace in June.
New Zealand Building Permits for July are out at 10:45 in the evening. The number of approvals surged in June, reaching their highest level in 12 years.
Two pieces of of Japanese data for July follow at 11:30, including the Unemployment Rate. The unemployment rate inched even lower in June, having stood at the already-low rate of 3.2% for the past 3 months.
Household spending fell more than anticipated in June, following a 1.1% annual decline the previous month.
Japanese Retail Sales for July will be available at 11:50. Sales have been dropping on an annual basis for the past 4 months.
And Australian Building Approvals for July are scheduled at 1:30 AM. The June data surprised on the downside as approvals failed to recover from a 5.4% drop the previous month.
