A couple of news reports are scheduled at 6 o’clock in the morning, including German GfK Consumer Climate for August. Index declined by a fraction in July, but it’s expected to rise back to the level of 10.2 in this publication. Swiss UBS Consumption Indicator for June is the other item out at this early hour. The UBS consumption indicator rose from 1.67 to 1.73 in May. A greater number of new car registrations and improved retailer sentiment point to robust growth in private consumption June’s UK net lending to individuals is up next at 8:30 AM. Lending grew by 3.1 billion in May, which was short of the market estimates for a 3.3 billion advance. Another report regarding the UK economy will be available at 10 o’clock when CBI Realized Sales for July are out. Survey balance declined in previous month from the recent high of 51. US Pending Home Sales for June is up next at 2 PM GMT. Sales advanced by point 9% in May to reach the highest level in slightly more than 9 years. Traders will be watching closely the high importance US FOMC Monetary Policy Announcement at 6 o’clock. Then there’s a bit of a gap, followed by New Zealand Building Consents for June at a quarter to 11 PM. Consents were flat month on month in May after previously declining by an upwardly revised point 9%. Preliminary Japanese Industrial Production for June is out at ten to midnight. Production slipped by 2.1% in May, wiping out the gain of 1.2%, which was recorded in April. Last up for this schedule is Australian Building Approvals for June at 1:30 AM. High volatility continued in May as the index rose by 2.4% after dropping by 5.2% in the month before that.
