This Monday is a market holiday in both the US and UK, so let’s see if spreads have been calm. Euro/Dollar’s long term average spread is point 41 pips and peak separation of point 9 pips was posted during the past 4 hours. The pair was heading up for hours, but it has dropped from the high of 1 1729 by a total of point 58% or 68 pips. Spreads have been relatively calm, max of only point 9 pips was posted today at 7:11 in the morning. The Cable’s daily average spread is 1.15 pips, but averages are much lower in recent hours. Peak separation has been 1.7 pips. Pound/Dollar rose by a total of point 3% or 40 pips, before giving up most of the gains after the daily high was reached. Spreads were slightly bumpy yesterday at 11 PM, but 1.7 pips is the biggest gap you should have seen. And last up is the Dollar/Yen, which has long term average of point 47 pips. Both of the sides were point 8 pips apart during the past 4 hours. Daily high and low difference of 53 pips was posted as the pair declined by point 48%.
