Euro/Dollar rose slightly during the early hours, but a following slide has resulted in a slight loss. Traded volume is extremely low and the sentiment is bearish, 17% short. Traders had their chances after the early rise, but moves in funds shouldn’t be major as trading has been slow. Pound/Dollar has had a relatively calm day, rate movement is flat and traded volume is extremely low. Most have been forecasting the rate to move lower, sentiment is 25% short. Both the slow trading and low volatility suggest no major changes in trading accounts are likely. Dollar/Yen was trending south for hours and it was point 27% in the red at noon after rising slightly from the daily low. Trading has been passive, volume is extremely low and the sentiment is neutral, 7% short. Profits are more likely for traders with short positions, but both profits and losses should be limited by the passive trading. Pound/Yen rose from the daily low of 173 39 and it was point 23% in the red at 12 o`clock. Traded volume is extremely low and the sentiment is neutral, 14% short. Bears have been in better positions so far, but the late rise provided bulls with some opportunities as well. Euro/Yen was moving lower during most of the morning session and a loss of point 27% was posted at noon. Traded volume is extremely low and the sentiment is bearish, 32% short. Traders have done a good job working out the rate movement direction and only the slow trading limits upside potential. This draws Monday`s Midday Snapshot to an end.
