The news release schedule is short on Tuesday, the 27th of September, but some releases are worth a closer look.
US S&P Home Price Index for July is up first at 1 PM GMT. The nation-wide Index grew at a steady pace in June, whereas the 20-City Composite saw a slightly weaker gain than the 5.3% increase the previous month.
US Preliminary Services PMI for September follows at 1:45. The Index slipped to a 6-month low in August, but it does remain in the positive territory.
And the closely watched US Preliminary Consumer Confidence for September comes at 2. The August index came in much stronger than anticipated, soaring to its highest level in 11 months. In particular, consumers were more optimistic about the current conditions, short-term outlook and labour market.
I’m Jessica Walker and that’s all for Tuesday’s Economic Calendar. Check back in for the next overview of news releases for Wednesday. Goodbye.
