Sterling/Australia surged after 8 o`clock and the pair stands 1% in the green, which is the day’s biggest move. UK GDP was reported advancing in line with expectations and Sterling is on top of the advancers and decliners table. Kiwi Dollar trades point 12% South of the top advancer, performing in sharp contrast with the other two commodity currencies on the list. Euro saw downward pressure as the ECB Vice President Vitor Constancio said policy makers may consider buying government debt. Japanese Yen trades level with the Swiss Franc as Swiss UBS Consumption Indicator release showed a decline. Canadian Dollar stands just slightly above the Greenback, which moved lower on disappointing US data. Ozzy Dollar wraps up the advancers and decliners table as Central Bank’s deputy Governor Philip Lowe said yesterday that the local currency will probably decline further. Moving on to longer terms, Sterling/Australia takes the top spot on the weekly bulls chart and it’s up by 2.28%. Australia/Canada has declined the most and it’s 2.17% in the red. Dollar/Yen leads the monthly advancers table and it’s up by 9.22%. Australia/Dollar is the most bearish pair and it has depreciated by 3.37%. This is what has been moving and shaking so far today.
