Weekend is just around the corner now, so let’s wrap up this week’s daily broadcasts with the Friday’s Movers and Shakers report. I`m Imogen Comrie. New Zealand/Dollar is the mover of the day with a decline of point 7%. The rate moved South in a couple of waves. Positive trends have returned to Wall Street and Dow Jones gained more than 70 points just shortly after trading began as the final US GDP for the second quarter showed a solid 4.6% annualized growth. Greenback also benefited and it’s the most bullish of the 8 majors on the table. It’s followed by a couple of commodity currencies. Australian Dollar is just slightly up from Canadian Dollar, which continues losing ground against the Buck. Swiss Franc trades in a close range with a couple of majors, including Sterling, which is level with the Euro as German GfK consumer climate declined more than expected. Japanese inflation report disappointed and Yen is under pressure due to speculations of further stimulus by the Bank of Japan. Wrapping up the advacners and decliners table is Kiwi Dollar, which continues perfomring bearishly as the Reserve Bank of New Zealand warned that the high exchange rate of the local currency is unjustified and unsustainable. New Zealan/Dollar is the most bearish pair and it’s down by more than 3%. Dollar/Yen continues to dominate the monthly advancers list and it’s more than 5% in the green.
