According to GFK, the consumer mood in Germany stabilized in March after the previous month’s minor setback. GfK forecasts an increase in consumer climate for April of point 1 points in comparison to the previous month to 10.9 points. Then it’s the days key event at 11:45 AM as the European Central Bank announces their monetary policy statement with press conference following at a half past noon GMT. It’s busy with US news reports at 12:30 PM and high importance advance durable goods for March will be available. New orders for manufactured durable goods in February increased 7.4 billion or 3.1 percent to 247.7 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced previously. US Jobless claims with initial claims figures will be released at a half pat noon GMT as well. New Zealand trade balance for March is up next at 10:45 PM GMT. The monthly trade balance was a surplus of 217 million in February as exports rose faster than imports. UK Consumer Confidence for April will be available shortly after 11 PM GMT. GfK’s long-running Consumer Confidence Index increased three points in March. All five of the constituent measures recorded higher values. A couple of publications regarding Japanese economy will be released at 11:30 PM, including Tokyo CPI for April. Overall inflation slowed down in March from 1.4% in February. Labour Force Survey for March is the other item out at this time. Jobless rate increased by one tenth of a percent in February from 2.4% a month ago. And last up is the Australian Producer Price Index for the first quarter at 1:30 in the morning. Producer prices were up by point 6% in the final quarter of last year and they have increased for seven quarter in a row now.
