Late drop makes a successful morning session more likely for those who had short positions. Pound/Dollar’s early rise was followed by a downtrend and a slight loss was recorded at midday. The Cable sees a typical amount of funds and the neutral sentiment of the traders is 6% short. Bulls had their chances shortly after midnight, but the following change in trend was good news for bears. Dollar/Yen hit the daily low at approximately 8 o’clock and it was slightly in the green as it surged by 48 pips. Trading has been passive, volume is extremely low and the neutral sentiment is 6% short. Both sides have had their profit chances, but the slow trading is the limiting factor. Pound/Yen’s day has been relatively calm – high and low difference is 58 pips and traded volume is extremely low. Sentiment of the traders is neutral, 3% short. Rate movement has been flat and trading slow, so shifts in funds shouldn’t be significant for both sides. Euro/Yen plummeted by 100 pips after 7 o’clock and a loss of point 42% was posted at noon.
