New Zealand/Yen has plummeted by close to 2% or slightly more than 171 pips to record the day’s biggest move. A safe-haven Japanese Yen tops the advancers and decliners table as the US stock indexes show a bearish start of the trading day and Dow is down by more than 200 points. UK Sterling trades mostly higher and it rose as Bank of England Governor Mark Carney said possibility of interest rate rises becomes “more balanced”. Greenback is only a fraction South of the Sterling as US durable goods slumped after previous month’s surge due to the volatile transportation sector. Jobless claims increased, but remained at a relatively low level. Swiss Franc is almost level with the Loonie Dollar, which is the most bullish of the three commodity majors on the table and it’s point 12% up from the Euro. We have antipodes at the bottom of the list. Australian Dollar declined as the RBA Governor Glenn Stevens signaled of possible action to curb home lending. New Zealand Dollar wraps up the table, dropping as the RBZ signaled possible intervention. Moving on to longer term charts, Sterling/New Zealand shows the biggest rise over a week and it has gained 2.2%. New Zealand/Dollar is the most bearish pair and it’s down by 2.45%. Dollar/Yen has appreciated the most over a month and it’s 4.65% in the green. 5 and a half percent is the biggest slide and it’s recorded by Australia/Dollar. That`s it for now.
