I’m Sinead MacLaughlin First up at 8 AM is the Euro Zone M3 Money Supply for August. Money supply continued to grow in July as bank lending declined at a slower pace than a month ago. UK CBI Reported Sales for September will be available at 10. The Index surprised on the upside in August as it surged from 21 points the previous month. Two closely watched news releases regarding the US economy follow at half past noon GMT, and the Durable Goods Orders for August is one of them. A strong growth in airplane orders pushed the total far higher than expected in July, although core orders recorded a slight decline. The weekly Jobless Claims update is due at the same time. The initial claims saw a surprisingly strong improvement during the week ending September 13 as they dropped by 36 thousand, whereas the continuing claims fell by 63 thousand during the week ending September 6. Another high importance event comes at 1:40 when the Bank of England Governor Mark Carney will be speaking at the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries General Insurance Conference in Wales. The preliminary estimate of US Services PMI for September follows at quarter to two. The Index saw its second consecutive monthly decline in August. Last up at half past eleven in the evening is the closely watched Japanese Consumer Price Index for August, and this release also includes the Tokyo data for September.
