The pair has continued gaining ground and it rose by a total of 1% or 122 pips to hit the high of 1 2356. Spreads have been calmer than the rate movement, not exceeding 1.1 pips during the past 24 hours. The Cable’s daily average spread is point 76 pips and maximum of 2.4 pips was posted less than an hour ago. Pound/Dollar has surged by a massive 1.46% or more than 200 pips to rise above the 1 41 level. UK employment report sent the spreads slightly higher today at 9:30 in the morning, but 2.4 pips is the biggest gap you should have seen. Last up for this report is the Dollar/Yen, which has long term average and maximum spreads of point 38 and 1 pip respectively. Greenback has dropped by more than 1% against the Yen to record the daily high and low difference of 116 pips.
