Spreads have averaged at point 32 pips so far this week for the Euro/Dollar. Maximum separation has been 1.3 pips. The rate declined by point 44% or 47 pips, but it rose from the low of 1 06. Preliminary French PMI has had the most pressure on the spreads for this pair, but the max separation has been just 1.3 pips. The Cable’s long term average and maximum spreads are 1.11 and 3.5 pips respectively. Pound/Dollar has been moving lower from the high of 1 5197 and it has declined by point 38% or 57 pips. Spreads were higher than usual for a number of ticks yesterday at 11 PM GMT, but 3.5 pips is the biggest gap you should have seen. Dollar/yen’s daily average spread is point 42 pips and maximum separation has been 1 pip. The rate moved sharply up during the early trading hours, gaining point 37% or 45 pips. No major spreads have been recorded so far this week and the max of just 1 pip took place yesterday at 11:24 PM. This brings Monday’s main Spike Controller to an end.
