Traders favorite pair has been on a slide from the high of 1 2728 and it has declined by point 9% or 114 pips. Spreads peaked today at 7:30 in the morning as Preliminary German PMI was out, so let’s see what happened. Both of the sides separated during a surge, but you shouldn’t have seen a gap bigger than 4.8 pips. Moving on to the Cable, mid and long term averages are slightly above 1 pip and peak spread has been 13.1 pips. Last 24 hours have been bearish for this pair, it has depreciated by point 53% or 85 pips from the high of 1 6079. UK retail sales and mortgage approvals were released today at 8:30 in the morning and that’s the time of the peak daily spread. Both of the sides separated by 13.1 pips, but they moved back closer immediately. And wrapping up this overview is the Dollar/Yen, which has long term average and maximum spreads of point 3 and 4.6 pips respectively. Greenback has been on a rise against the Yen and the pair has appreciated by point 71% or 76 pips. Spreads were higher than usual for a while yesterday at a half past noon GMT as the US CPI was out, but you shouldn’t have been charged more than 4.6 pips. That`s it for now.
