Hello, I`m Imogen Comrie and here’s what’s moving and shaking on the FX markets at 3 o`clock PM on this Thursday. Canada/Yen is the mover of the day with an increase of slightly more than 1%. Most of the gains were recorded after 7 o`clock in the morning. A number of currencies trade in a close range near the top of the table and Loonie Dollar is the most bullish major at the moment. Flash Euro Zone Services and Manufacturing PMIs both surprised on the upside and Single currency is up against most of the rivals, trailed closely by the Swiss Franc. The number of US Jobless claims rose last week, but they remain at a relatively low level, providing support for the Buck. UK Sterling saw downward pressure as UK retail sales release disappointed. Antipodes are having a generally bearish day and Australian Dollar is point 2% up from the neighboring Kiwi Dollar, which declined as New Zealand inflation was reported slowing down. Wrapping up the advancers and decliners table is the safe-haven Japanese Yen. Moving on to longer terms, Canada/Yen shows the biggest rise over a week and it has gained 2.13%. 1.62% is the biggest decline, posted by New Zealand/Canada. Dollar/Canada leads the monthly bulls table with an increase of 1.74%. New Zealand/Yen tops the bearish section, standing 3.41% in the red. These were Thursday’s Movers and Shakers.
