All eyes will be on Britain this Thursday, but other news releases are worth a closer look as well.
So voters in the United Kingdom will be heading to polls to decide whether their country should stay in the European Union. The opinion polls suggest the race is too close to call, but the financial markets are betting on Remain.
The preliminary June PMIs from several Euro Zone countries are out first thing in the morning, starting with the French release at 7 AM. German index follows half an hour later, and the Euro Zone data will be available at 8. Both the manufacturing and services indexes saw little change in May in light of a weak growth in new orders.
Coming up next at 12:30 PM GMT are the closely watched US Jobless Claims. Initial claims went up by 13 thousand during the week ending June 11, whereas the continuing claims rose by 45 thousand during the week ending June 4.
US Preliminary Manufacturing PMI for June is out at 1:45. The Index slipped in May, reaching its lowest level in almost 7 years.
US New Home Sales for May follow at 2. Sales came in much stronger than anticipated in April, surging to an 8-year high.
And US Leading Index for May comes at this time as well. The Index saw a strong growth in April as growth was registered across most subcomponents.
