Flash Manufacturing and Services PMI run with May data opens this agenda at 7 o’clock in the morning, when French figures will be released. German stats will be published a half an hour later and the whole Euro Zone numbers will then be available at 8 AM. Both Manufacturing and Services Indexes slipped in April, but they remain well above the 50 level. The Reserve Bank of Australia Governor Philip Lowe will speak on Australia’s deepening economic relationship with China in Sydney five minutes past 8 and it’s a potential Ozzy Dollar shaker. The high importance Consumer Price Index is one of the two UK releases for April out at 8:30. Overall inflation slowed down in March from February’s level of 2.7%. Producer price report is the other item out at this time. Output prices increased by point 2% in March, while Input prices slipped by one tenth of a percent to post the second decline in a row. Markit Flash US PMIs for May will be released at a quarter to two PM GMT. Both Manufacturing and Services indexes increased in April, moving further above the 50 level. US New Home Sales stats for April are out fifteen minutes later. Sales surged in March as they approached the 700 thousand level, which was last breached last year. Euro Zone Flash Consumer Confidence for May will be available at 2 PM as well. Index rose slightly further into the positive territory in April. Greenback traders will be monitoring closely the high importance US FOMC publication of the May meeting minutes at 6 PM GMT. New Zealand trade report for April wraps up this agenda at a quarter to 11 PM. Higher fuel imports resulted in a deficit of 86 million New Zealand Dollars and this was the first reading in the red for March month in a decade.
