Let’s see which news releases could move the currency markets on Wednesday, the 20th of December. This is the Economic Calendar.
German Producer Price Index for November is up first at 7 o’clock. The Index has been growing more than anticipated for the past 4 months, with increases across the board.
Bank of England Governor Mark Carney will be giving a closely watched speech at quarter past 1, testifying on the November Financial Stability Report before the Treasury Select Committee in London.
Canadian Wholesale Trade for October follows at half past 1. Sales dropped unexpectedly in September, following two months of growth.
US Existing Home Sales for November will be available at 3. October data surprised on the upside, but the report did note that supply shortage remains an issue.
New Zealand third quarter GDP is out at quarter to 10 in the evening, and it is a high importance release for the Kiwi Dollar traders. The second quarter data came in line with estimates, driven by strong gains in exports and domestic demand.
And UK GfK Consumer Confidence for December comes at one minute past midnight. The Index lost 2 points in November and now stands at the same level it reached after the Brexit vote.
That’s all for Wednesday’s Economic Calendar. I’m Jack Everitt and we’ll be back with the next overview of news releases for Thursday. Goodbye.
