Hello, I’m Doireann McDermott here in the Dukascopy TV centre with another Economic Calendar. Let’s take a closer look at the most important news releases scheduled for Monday, the 20th of October.
German Producer Price Index for September is released at 6 AM. Producer prices continued to decrease in August, pushed lower by a strong drop in energy costs.
Euro Zone Current Account for August follows at 8. The seasonally adjusted trade surplus saw little change in July as a surplus in services, goods and income was partially reversed by a deficit in current transfers.
Canadian Wholesale Trade for August is out at 12:30 PM GMT. Sales slipped in July, following a better-than-expected point 8% increase the previous month.
A closely watched event for Aussie Dollar traders comes at half past midnight when the Reserve Bank of Australia will release the Minutes of its Monetary Policy Meeting. The October meeting brought no changes to the monetary policy, but a rate hike could be in works.
New Zealand Credit Card Spending for September is due at 2 AM. Retail spending accelerated in August, driven by hospitality and consumables sectors.
And Japanese All Industry Index for August concludes the schedule at half past 4 in the morning. The Index disappointed in July as it posted its second monthly decline.
That’s all for Monday’s Economic Calendar, but we’ll be returning with the next overview of key events for Tuesday. Goodbye.
