Euro/Dollar’s spreads have averaged at point 32 pips during the last 24 hours, peaking at 1.3 pips yesterday. Daily high and low difference of 59 pips was posted in less than an hour as the rate surged by point 46%. Spreads have been mostly calm and the biggest gap of only 1.3 pips took place yesterday at 4:19 PM GMT. All three Cable’s averages are above 1 pip and peak separation of 5.8 pips was posted during the last 4 hours. Pound/Dollar has been moving sharply North and it has gained point 98% or 159 pips. A couple of Sterling shakers were out today at 8:30 in the morning and they have sent the spreads higher for this pair. Both of the sides separated during the rise, but make sure your broker hasn’t charged you more than 5.8 pips. Dollar/Yen’s long term average and maximum spreads are point 3 and 1.9 pips respectively. Greenback has been moving up against the Yen and this pair has appreciated by a total of point 51% or 54 pips. Spreads have been generally calm and the biggest gap of 1.9 pips took place yesterday at 3:57 PM and it lasted only a single tick. This concludes Wednesday`s main Spike Controller.
