Wednesday brings the latest Fed monetary policy statement, so let’s take a closer look with the Economic Calendar. I’m Alex Iszatt Bank of England will release its closely watched Monetary Policy Meeting Minutes at 8:30 AM. The previous minutes showed some dissent as two policy makers voted to raise the interest rate. UK Unemployment Rate is out at the same time. Unemployment has been declining for the past six months. The final estimate of Euro Zone Consumer Price Index for August follows at 9. The preliminary estimate puts the annual inflation at the alarmingly low level of point 3%. Swiss ZEW Economic Sentiment for September is due at this time as well. The Index saw little change in August as the surveyed analysts believed the current favourable business environment will last. Coming up next at 12:30 PM GMT is the high importance US Consumer Price Index for August. The monthly inflation fell to a five-month low in July. US NAHB Housing Market Index for September will be available at 2 o’clock. The Index posted its third consecutive monthly increase in August and now stands at its highest level since January. The highly anticipated Federal Open Market Committee Monetary Policy Statement is scheduled for 6 o’clock, and Chair Janet Yellen will hold a press conference half an hour later. It could provide more insight on the Fed’s future course of action. New Zealand Second Quarter Gross Domestic Product comes at quarter to eleven in the evening, and it is of high importance to the Kiwi Dollar traders. Strong gains in construction and mining contributed to growth in the first quarter, while wholesale trade saw the biggest decline. And last up at 11:50 PM is the Japanese Trade Balance for August.
