The preliminary estimate suggests the annual inflation has stood unchanged for the past 2 months. US Industrial Production for December follows at quarter past 2 PM GMT. Output grew less than anticipated in November, following a strong 1.2% gain the previous month. US NAHB Housing Market Index for January comes at 3. The Index jumped by 5 points in December, reaching its highest level in no less than 18 years. So the closely watched Bank of Canada Monetary Policy Statement is out at the same time, and this meeting brings some uncertainty; on one hand, strong employment data suggests a rate hike, but there’s also increased global uncertainty which encourages a more dovish approach. The Fed will release its latest Beige Book at 7, providing some data ahead of its January meeting. UK RICS House Price Balance for December follows at one minute past midnight. The Index reached zero in November, meaning the same amount of property surveyors repoted declines and rises in home prices. And Australian December Labour Report is out at half past midnight, which is of high importance to Aussie Dollar traders. The jobless rate has stood at the same low level for the past 2 months, and November report also showed a strong growth in employment.
