Two news releases regarding the Euro Zone will be released at 9 AM, including the final estimate of September Consumer Price Index. The preliminary estimate puts the annual inflation at the low level of point 3%. Trade Balance for August is out at the same time. The seasonally adjusted trade surplus narrowed in July as imports went up and exports inched lower. Coming up next at 12:30 PM GMT is the closely watched weekly update on US Jobless Claims. Initial claims went down by a thousand during the week ending October 4 while the continuing claims dropped by 21 thousand during the week ending September 27. Canadian Manufacturing Shipments for August are out at the same time. The July data surprised on the upside, with transportation equipment and primary metal industries being the main drivers of growth. US Industrial Production for September follows at 1:15. Industrial output slipped in August as car production dropped from the five-year high it reached a month ago. Two news publications regarding the US economy in October are scheduled at 2 o’clock, and Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index is one of them. The Index eased in September, having soared to a three-year high the previous month. NAHB Housing Market Index continued growing in September, and it came well above the estimate of 56 points. And last up at 8 o’clock in the evening are the US TIC Long-term purchases for August. Net flows remained negative in August as foreign residents decreased their holdings of long-term US securities.
