There are mostly North American publications scheduled on this relatively light Friday, so let’s take a look.
Final Euro Zone inflation figures for February are up first at 10 o’clock. According to flash estimate, Euro area annual inflation is expected to be 1.2% in February, down from 1.3% in January.
US Housing starts and Building permits for February will be available at a half past noon GMT. Privately-owned housing units authorized by building permits rose by 7.4% in January from December’s level f 1.3 million. Housing starts were up by 9.7%.
Canadian Manufacturing Sales for January are out at the same time. Sales were down by point 3% in the final month of last year to 55.5 billion Canadian Dollars. The decline was mainly the result of lower sales in the petroleum and coal products industry and the food manufacturing industry.
US Industrial Production numbers for February follow at a quarter past 1. Production edged down point 1% in January following four consecutive monthly increases.
And Preliminary University of Michigan Survey for March wraps up this agenda at 2 PM GMT. Consumer sentiment remained quite favorable in February, at its second highest level since 2004. Consumers based their optimism on favorable assessments of jobs, wages, and higher after-tax pay.
I’m John Doe and that’s all for Friday’s Economic Calendar. Check back on Monday, but for now, goodbye.
