Hello, I`m Imogen Comrie and this is the Midday Snapshot where we`ll find out how traders have managed to work out the rate shifts during the morning session on this week’s first trading day. Euro/Dollar has declined by a total of 54 pips and a loss of point 29% was posted at noon. Traded volume is average and the sentiment is bullish, most have been forecasting the rate to move up. It has been heading lower today, making losses more likely for investors. Pound/Dollar stood only slightly in the red at 12 o`clock after walking in a total range of 39 pips. The Cable has attracted less than half of the monthly average funds and the sentiment is strongly bullish, 48% long. Traders have seen both chances and risks, but moves in funds should be limited by the slow trading. Dollar/Yen has walked in a relatively narrow range of 21 pips and it has attracted 38% less than typical funds. Most have been forecasting the rate to move lower, sentiment is 21% short. Both the passive trading and flat rate movement suggest changes in funds shouldn’t be significant. Pound/Yen’s trend has shifted numerous times and the pair was point 19% in the red at 12 o`clock. Total value of the deals is 31% down from the monthly average and the sentiment is neutral, 3% long. Shifting trend has provided both sides with their chances, but any moves in funds should be limited by the calm trading. Euro/Yen’s start of the week has been bearish and a loss of point 37% was recorded at midday. Turnover is 25% short of the monthly average and the sentiment is neutral.
