Both of the sides were 2.7 pips apart during the last hour. Trend has reversed for the traders favorite pair and it has depreciated by more than 1% or 129 pips from the high of 1 2769. German ZEW Survey and the whole bloc’s industrial production stats both were out today at 9 o`clock and that’s the time of the peak spread. They were volatile for a while at this time, but you shouldn’t have seen a gap bigger than 2.7 pips. Moving on to the Cable, both the 1 and 4 hour averages are below point 9 pips. Spreads were up to 19.7 pips during the last 4 hours. Pound/Dollar has been moving sharply down from the high of 1 6117 and it has depreciated by more than 1% or 171 pips. UK CPI and PPI both were released today at 8:30 in the morning and they sent the spreads sharply up. A gap of 19.7 pips was registered during the slide, but both of the sides moved back closer shortly afterwards. Dollar/Yen’s long term average spread is point 32 pips and the max of 1.7 pips took place during the last 4 hours. Daily high and low difference of 75 pips was recorded during a slide of point 7%. Spreads were slightly up today at 8:30 in the morning during the UK data run, but the max separation has been just 1.7 pips. This was Tuesday’s Main Spike Controller.
