The latest update on the UK inflation is scheduled for Tuesday, the 14th of October, so keep watching this Economic Calendar to find out more. I’m Alex Iszatt
Starting things off at 7:15 in the morning is the Swiss Producer Price Index for September. The Index saw a disappointing slip in August, having stood unchanged the previous month.
Two news releases regarding the UK economy in September follow at half past eight, including the closely watched Consumer Price Index. Inflation decelerated to a five-year low in August, pushed lower by a strong drop in food prices.
Producer Price Index inched lower in August, although the core index grew at an increasing speed.
The highly anticipated German ZEW Economic Sentiment for October is out at 9. The Index has been trending South for the past nine months, albeit the September’s decrease was smaller than expected.
Euro Zone Industrial Production for August will be available at the same time. Industrial output rebounded in July, driven by gains in capital goods, non-durable consumer goods and intermediate goods.
The next event on the schedule comes at 11:30 PM GMT, when the Australian Westpac Consumer Confidence for October is released. The September Index surprised on the downside, following a 3.8% gain a month ago.
And last up at 4:30 AM is the final estimate of Japanese Industrial Production for August. The preliminary estimate shows a drop in output, offsetting a point 4% increase in July.
You’ve been watching the Economic Calendar for Tuesday. The next edition of this calendar will cover the most important news releases for Wednesday. See you then.
