Wednesday, the 13th of December, brings the very anticipated Fed Monetary Policy Statement, so let’s find out more.
The final reading of German November CPI is up first at 7 AM. The preliminary estimate suggests the annual inflation has rebounded from its slip to 1.6% a month ago.
UK Labour Report for November follows at half past 9. The October report surprised on the upside as unemployment grew less than expected.
Euro Zone Industrial Production for October will be available at 10. Output slipped in September, partially reversing a strong 1.4% gain the previous month.
Coming up next at 1:30 PM GMT is the closely watched US November CPI. The annual inflation grew in line with estimates in October, but the core reading picked up speed for the first time since the beginning of the year.
So the closely watched Fed statement is out at 9, followed by a press conference half an hour later. Markets are pretty certain this meeting will bring a rate hike, but the roadmap for 2018 is less clear.
Australian Consumer Inflation Expectations for December are scheduled at midnight. The anticipated annual inflation rate came down in November from 4.3% a month ago.
UK RICS House Price Balance for November follows one minute later. The October reading came in weaker than expected as just a tiny majority of property surveyors reported rising prices; in particular, London properties continued to decline.
Australian November Labour Report is out at half past midnight. The unemployment rate inched lower in October, although employment grew less than anticipated.
The preliminary version of Japanese December Manufacturing PMI is out at the same time. The Index grew by point 8 points in November, driven by a strong gain in new export orders.
And two news releases regarding the Chinese economy in November conclude the schedule at 2 AM, including the Industrial Production. October data showed a slower growth than the 6.6% annual gain the previous month.
Retail Sales also came in slightly weaker in October, following a 10.3% annual growth in September.
