Hello, I’m Sinead MacLaughlin with the Main Spike Controller for Monday. Here’s a closer look at the average and peak spread levels for the 3 non-cross majors. Euro/Dollar’s long-term average reaches point 72 pips, although the short and mid-term average spreads are noticeably lower, and the daily max reaches 1.2 pips. This pair has had a bullish start of the week, as it is up by point 38% or 43 pips from its lowest point at 1 1354. Spreads were at their highest after 11 o’clock yesterday evening, but they did not exceed just 1.2 pips. Next up is the Cable with the long-term average and peak spreads of 1.34 and 2.2 pips, respectively. This pair is up as well, having gained point 4% or 61 pips from the daily low of 1 5306. Trading has been rather calm, and the daily max of 2.2 pips was posted after 11:04 yesterday evening. And Dollar/Yen’s long-term average spread stands at point 68 pips, whereas the long-term max reaches 2 pips. The rate movement has been quite limited so far, and the largest move was a decline of point 15% or 18 pips. Spreads peaked after 4:47 this morning, but 2 pips is as high as they went.
