Coming up first at 7 AM is the final estimate of German Consumer Price Index for November. The preliminary estimate shows the annual inflation has decelerated from point 8% a month ago. Swiss National Bank will release its closely watched Monetary Policy Statement at half past eight, followed by a press conference which could provide some clues whether the policy makers will continue defending the Euro/Swissie floor at 1.20. The high importance European Central Bank Monthly Bulletin will be published at nine. It will provide the statistics behind the bank’s latest decision to leave the interest rates on hold. Two highly anticipated news releases regarding the US economy are out at 1:30 PM GMT, including the preliminary Retail Sales for November. The October release showed growth in most subsectors as sales rebounded from a point 3% decline in September. The weekly Jobless Claims update is due at the same time. Initial claims went down by 17 thousand during the week ending November 29, whereas the continuing claims went up by 39 thousand during the week ending November 22. Canadian New Housing Price Index for October is released at this time as well. The Index continued growing in September, but at a slower pace than the point 3% gain the previous month. US Business Inventories for October will be available at 3. Inventories went up in September as sales stood unchanged. And New Zealand Performance of Manufacturing Index for November concludes the schedule at half past nine.
