Hello, I`m Sinead MacLaughlin and you’re watching the Movers and shakers for Tuesday, 11th of November. Most of the day has been bullish for the New Zealand/Yen and the pair has gained more than 1%, recording the day’s biggest move. Alibaba’s Singles Day sales exceeded 8 billion US Dollar mark and a couple of commodity currencies are on top of the advancers and decliners table. New Zealand Dollar is close to level with the Ozzy Dollar as Australia’s NAB business confidence declined slightly and HPI rose, but slower than expected. UK Sterling is up against most of the rivals and it’s followed by a batch of currencies that trade in an extremely narrow range. Canada observes Remembrance Day and Loonie Dollar is the most bearish of the three commodity currencies on the table. Swiss Franc is trading level with the Euro, which is only one tenth of a percent up from the Buck. Clearly the most bearish major is the Japanese Yen, which continues the recent bearish run on speculations Japan’s Prime Minister Shinzo Abe is considering postponing sales tax increase. Moving on to longer terms, Dollar/Yen leads the weekly bulls chart with an increase of more than 3%. Australia/Dollar shows the biggest decline and it’s down by 1.46%. Dollar/Yen has appreciated the most over a month and it’s close to 7% in the green. Euro/Dollar leads the bearish list with a slide exceeding 2%. This wraps up Tuesday’s Movers and Shakers.
