Starting things off at 6 AM is the German Final Consumer Price Index for August. The preliminary estimate puts the annual inflation at the same level as in June. European Central Bank will publish its closely watched Monthly Report at 8 o’clock. The report will provide more data behind the latest ECB decision to cut the interest rates. Coming up next at 12:30 PM GMT are the high importance US Jobless Claims. Initial claims decreased by 4 thousand during the week ending August 30, while the continuing claims dropped by 64 thousand during the week ending August 23. Canadian New Housing Price Index for July will be released at the same time. House prices continued growing in June, following a point 1% gain a month ago. US Monthly Budget Statement for September follows at 6. The budget deficit was smaller than expected in August. Another closely watched event comes at 7 o’clock, when the European Central Bank President Mario Draghi will deliver the keynote speech at Eurofi Financial Forum in Milan, Italy. New Zealand Business NZ PMI for August is due at half past ten in the evening. The Index has stood above the 50 point mark indicating growth for the past 22 months. New Zealand Food Price Index for August follows 15 minutes later. The Index declined in July, partially offsetting a point 1.4% gain in June. And last up at 4:30 AM is the final estimate of Japanese Industrial Production for July. The preliminary estimate suggests the index has returned to growth, following two months of declines.
