Let’s see which news releases could move the currency markets on Wednesday, the 10th of January. This is the Economic Calendar. Two news releases regarding the British economy in November are out at 9:30 in the morning, including the Industrial Production. Output stood unchanged in October, following a strong point 7% gain the previous month. Trade Balance comes at the same time, and trade deficit widened in October. Much of it came from a strong growth in erratic commodity imports, but even without them, imports still outpaced the exports. UK NIESR Monthly GDP estimate for December follows at 1 PM GMT, and this also is the unofficial estimate for the fourth quarter. The previous release covered the thre months up to November and noted a stable point 5% growth. Canadian Building Permits for November will be available at half past 1. The number of permits has been growing stronger than anticipated for the past 2 months, reversing 2 months of decline. Australian Retail Sales for November are scheduled at half past midnight. Sales picked up speed in October, following a disappointing point 1% increase a month ago. And the preliminary reading of Japanese Leading Index for November is up last at 5 AM.
