Pound/Dollar has appreciated by a total of slightly more than 1% or 155 pips, but last 4 hours have been bearish for this pair. Spreads were at their highest point today at 8:30 in the morning as the UK trade balance was out, but you shouldn’t have been charged more than 4.1 pips. And last up for this report is the Dollar/Yen, which has long term average and maximum spreads of point 4 and 1.5 pips respectively. Buck has dropped by slightly more than 1% against the Yen over the last 24 hours, defining the long term volatility of 131 pips. Despite the volatile rate shifts, spreads have been mostly calm, not exceeding 1.5 pips. This brings Tuesday’s main Spike Controller to an end.
