Orders shot up by the most in more than two years in the final month of 2015, driven by a surge in investment-goods demand. UK Halifax House Price Index for February follows at 8:30. House prices fell by point 9% between December and January and this was the first monthly decline since August of 2016. Revised fourth quarter Euro Zone GDP will be released at 10 AM. Flash estimate showed economy expanded by a half a percent in the final quarter of 2016, but the second estimate saw a downward revision to point 4%. We head over the Atlantic for a couple of trade reports for January at 1:30 PM GMT, including the US figures. Deficit narrowed down in the final month of last year from November’s level of 45.7 billion in the red. Canadian figures are also out at the same time. Balance has been in the green for two consecutive months now after staying in the red since early 2015. North American data run continues at 3 PM as US IBD TIPP Economic optimism for March will be available. Index hit the level of 56.4 in February, which is the highest level in more than 10 years. Canadian Ivey PMI for February is also published at 3 o’clock. Index declined more than expected in January after reaching 60.8 in December. US consumer credit figures for January are up next at 8 PM GMT. Credit growth slowed down in December and this follows November’s expansion of 25.2 billion. Final Japanese GDP for the fourth quarter is set for publication at ten to midnight. According to flash report, economy expanded by a slower-than-expected 0.2% in the final quarter of 2016. Wrapping up this agenda is Preliminary Japanese Leading indicator for January. Final December reading saw a downward revision to 104.8, but it was still up from November’s level of 102.8.
