The Cable’s average daily separation is 1.18 pips and both of the sides were 6.1 pips apart during the last hour. Pound/Dollar plummeted today, dropping from the high of 1 6023 by a total of point 87% or 139 pips. Spreads were sent higher by the UK Services PMI release today at 9:30 in the morning, so let’s find out what happened. Both of the sides moved 6.1 pips apart as the rate started moving lower, but anything far above this maximum shouldn’t be tolerated. And last up for this report is the Dollar/Yen, which has long term average and maximum spreads of point 35 and 1.9 pips respectively. Greenback has continued the surge against the Yen and the pair has gained 1.26% or 143 pips to hit the high of 114 60. Spreads have been mostly narrow during the last 24 hours, peaking at 1.9 pips yesterday at 12:43 PM.
