Hello. I`m Imogen Comrie and these are the Movers and Shakers where we`ll find out if the US and Canadian employment reports have shaken up the currency markets on this Friday. Canada/Yen is the mover of the day with a decline of point 73% and the sharpest slide took place after noon GMT. A safe haven Japanese Yen tops the advancers and decliners table after declining yesterday following the Bank of Japan monetary policy announcement, which showed no change to monetary stimulus. Kiwi Dollar trades mostly higher and it’s followed closely by another commodity currency – neighboring Australian Dollar. Swissie is trailed closely by the Single currency, which dropped yesterday as the ECB cut interest rates, but it has recovered some of the loss today Sterling is up only from the North American currency duo – both share a similar bearish story. Greenback moved South on weak US jobs statistics and Canadian Dollar declined as domestic employment report and Ivey PMI both disappointed. So, before we conclude this report, let’s find out what are the biggest moves over longer terms. Australia/Swissie has gained the most over a week and it’s up by almost 2%. Sterling/Australia shows a similar decline and it’s the most bearish pair. Australia/Swiss Franc tops the monthly bulls chart and it has gained close to 3%.
