The European trading is over on this Friday, and here’s what’s been moving and shaking.
New Zealand/Swissie is the mover of the day with a gain of point 74%. The pair was trending higher for most of the session.
New Zealand Inflation Expectations have risen above 2%, and Kiwi is the most bullish major, albeit by a small margin.
Canadian unemployment rate dropped by point 2 percentage points in April, and Loonie is point 21% up from Sterling.
The big Euro mover is just coming up this Sunday when the final round of French presidential election takes place; as of now, the Common Currency is just a fraction up from the Greenback, which did not receive much of a boost from another solid jobs report.
Moving South, we get to Yen, which is trading almost level with Aussie.
And Swiss National Bank foreign currency reserves have reached another record-high level, strongly suggesting an intervention; Swissie is the most bearish major by 3 PM.
And let’s take a quick look at the long-term charts. Euro/Australia is the most bullish pair in weekly terms, as it’s up by exactly 2%, while Australia/Swiss Franc posts the biggest decline, namely, 1.84%.
Pound/Australia tops the monthly bulls chart with a gain of 6.41%, whereas Australia/Swissie is the most bearish instrument, standing 4% in the red.
I’m Jessica Walker and that concludes the Movers and Shakers for Friday. We’ll be right back on Monday, but until then, have a great weekend, maybe keep an eye on your Euro positions and see you next week.
