We are heading towards weekend, so let’s find out where the 8 major currencies stand at 3 PM GMT. Canada/Yen shot up after 1 PM and the pair has gained a solid 1.26% to post the day’s top move. Canadian jobless rate dropped and employment change jumped, sending the Loonie Dollar sharply higher and it’s the most bullish of the 8 majors. Kiwi Dollar trades near the top of the table and it’s just slightly up from the UK Sterling. US non-farm employment change disappointed, putting downward pressure on the Greenback. Australian trade balance dropped to 63 billion in the red and Ozzy Dollar trades in a close range with the Single currency. Flash Euro Zone CPI showed annual inflation slowing down to 1.4%. Swiss Franc is up only from the Japanese Yen, which wraps up the advancers and decliners table. Loonie Dollar’s surge makes Canada/Yen the top advancer over the past week with a gain that exceeds 2%. Dollar/Canada is the top decliner and it’s 1.44% in the red. New Zealand/Yen leads the monthly advancers table and the pair is up by almost 5%.
