Hello, I’m Alex Iszatt and you’re watching the Economic Calendar. Here’s a run-down of the most important news releases scheduled for Tuesday, the 4th of November. Starting things off at half past nine in the morning is the UK Construction PMI for October. The Index continued to grow in September, reaching its highest level in eight months. Euro Zone Producer Price Index for September follows at ten. The Index inched lower in August, and falling energy costs contributed most to the decline. US Trade Balance for September is out at half past one PM GMT. Trade deficit saw a slight improvement in August as exports narrowly outpaced the imports. The Canadian counterpart of this release is due at the same time. Trade balance surprised on the downside in August as as it turned negative, having stood in the black for the last three months. US Factory Orders for September will be available at 3 o’clock. The August data showed a strong drop following a surge in aircraft orders the previous month. The closely watched New Zealand Third Quarter Labour Survey follows at 9:45. The unemployment rate went down more than expected in the second quarter, reaching a five-year low. Australian Performance of Service Index for October comes at half past ten. The Index lost 4 points in September, and it has stood below the 50 point mark indicating growth for the past seven months. Japanese Monetary Base for October will be released at 11:50. The annual growth of the monetary base decelerated in September from 40.5% a month ago. UK BRC Shop Price Index for October is out at one minute past midnight. Shop prices have been declining for the past seventeen months. And last up at 1:30 AM is the Japanese Labour Cash Earnings for September. Wages continued growing in August, but they could not catch up with the inflation rate.
