Let’s see which news releases could move the currency markets on Wednesday, the 5th of July. This is the Economic Calendar.
The final reading of Euro Zone June Services PMI is out at 8 AM. The preliminary estimate suggests a decline as slowdowns have been recorded in both Germany and France.
UK Services PMI for June follows half an hour later. The Index lost 2 points in May in light of weaker growth in new orders.
Euro Zone Retail Sales for May are released at 9. Sales continued growing in April, but at a slower pace than the point 2% gain the previous month.
Coming up next at 2 PM GMT are the US Factory Orders for June. Orders slipped in May, following 4 months of strong growth.
The Fed will release the closely watched Minutes of its June meeting at 6. The meeting brought an interest rate hike, and the Minutes could provide some idea whether additional hikes are planned this year.
And Australian Trade Balance for May concludes the schedule at 1:30. Trade surplus shrank quite dramatically in April as exports fell faster than imports.
