All of these events took place in year 2000 and it’s also the last time when the US unemployment rate was as low as it was in this October. Australia/Canada was flat for most of the session, but a late plunge puts the pair 1.13% in the red, which is the day’s biggest move. Canadian employment change was positive and Loonie Dollar sits on top of the advancers and decliners table. UK Services PMI report was strong as well and Sterling is up against most of the rivals. US ISM Non-Manufacturing PMI rose above the 60 level and jobless rate dropped to the lowest level since 2000. Greenback is almost even with the New Zealand Dollar. Japanese Yen is trailed closely by the Swiss Franc and both of the majors are mostly lower. Single currency is up only from the Ozzy Dollar, which wraps up the table as Australian retail sales disappointed with a flat monthly reading. Past week has been bullish for the Canada/Yen and the pair has gained 1.32%. Sterling/Canada is the top decliner and the pair is 1.24% in the red. Dollar/Swissie leads the monthly advancers section with a gain of 2.6%. 3.26% is the top decline and it’s posted by New Zealand/Greenback.
