It’s an early start at 5:45 in the morning when the second quarter Swiss GDP will be available. Swiss economy expanded at a rate of a half a percent in this year’s opening quarter and a similar advance is expected this time around as well.
UK Construction PMI for August is up next at a half past 8 o`clock. Index declined slightly in July, but it remains well above the 50 level and it has been North of the 60 mark for 9 consecutive months now.
Euro Zone PPI for July will be available a half an hour later. Prices advanced by one tenth of a percent in June, cancelling out previous month’s decline.
Finalized US Manufacturing PMI for August by Markit Economics will be released at a quarter to 2 PM GMT. According to the flash report, index rose sharply, gaining ground from July’s level of 55.8.
It’s busy with news reports regarding the US economy at 2 o`clock. One of them is the high importance Manufacturing PMI for August by Institute for Supply Management. July was the 14th consecutive month of expansion for manufacturing sector and the index gained 1.8 points.
Economic Optimism for September is the second item out at this time. Index slipped slightly below its 12 month average in August, declining by 1.1 points from previous month’s level.
Construction Spending for July is the last release for two o`clock. Index dropped in June and this was the sharpest slide since early 2011.
UK Shop Price Index for August will be out just shortly after 11 PM. Prices remained in the negative territory in July and that’s where they have been for over a year now.
Last up for this overview is the high importance Australian GDP for the second quarter at 1:30 AM. Australia’s economy grew at the fastest pace since 2012 in the first quarter of this year, expanding by 1.1%.
