Swiss data run opens this agenda and fourth quarter GDP is out first at a quarter to 7 AM. Economy expanded by point 6% in the third quarter of last year, being boosted by manufacturing in particular. Retail sales figures for January will be available at a quarter past 8. The growth of retail sales accelerated in December, but it was short of market estimates for an increase of 1.5%. Then we have a batch of Manufacturing PMIs for February and Swiss stats will be out first at 8:30, followed by Italian numbers fifteen minutes later, Final French figures at 8:50 and final German data at 8:55. The overall Euro Zone statistics will be available at 9 o’clock. Then there’s a bit of a break and UK Manufacturing PMI follows then at a half past 9. Euro Zone unemployment rate for January is out next at 10 o’clock. Jobless rate was unchanged in December at 8.7% and among the member states Czech Republic, Malta and Germany showed the lowest numbers, while Greece and Spain had the highest unemployment rates. US data run starts at 1:30 with a couple of publications and personal income and spending report for January is one of them. Both income and spending continued rising in December and this was fifth consecutive monthly increase for Spending. Jobless claims is the other report out at this time. Initial claims declined by 7 thousand for the week ending February the 17th. And last up on this agenda is the high importance US ISM Manufacturing PMI for February.
