Dixons Carphone (DC.L), is expecting strong growth off the back of the Phones4U collapse. The company has set out a plan to double the size of its business over the next few year.

Chief Executive Sebastian James has been talking to investors about the latest plans for the company and sees the Phones4U exit as just one of many possibilities to grow the company. Dixons Carphone are now replacing Phones4U concessions in Currys and PC World and will be employing around 800 ex phones4U staff in order to staff these and deal with increased demand in its own stores. The company plans to have around 30 of these operating in the next few weeks and targets Christmas for full operation in all stores.

Dixons Carphone also plans to rethink its strategy for European markets and continue a cost saving plan already in operation
