ftse 100 was trading slightly lower this morning despite some positive economic news coming out of Asia overnight, as news of latest French terror attack filtered through. However the index is current on the move to recover some of those gains.
DCC (DCC.L) was trading higher after a positive statement, the company believes that the UKs exit from the EU will not have a “material impact” on its business and expects to recieve a boost from its tradinbg profits outside the UK as the exchange rate remains depressed. DCC announced first quarter profit significantly ahead of last years comparable period.
Airline and tourist groups are the worst performers after news of the latest terror attack in Nice. Carnival (CCL.L) and TUI group (TT.L) are both about 1% worse off and airlines including Easyjet (EZJ.L) are also lower.
