May is Typically a Good Month for the Dollar
April was a great month for the US dollar but the first few days of May has been challenging. End of April profit taking drove the greenback lower initially but the rally was renewed by optimistic comments from Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell. Yet on Friday the US dollar turned lower despite good labor market numbers. This final move led investors to wonder if the greenback has peaked, paving the way for bottom in euro, A$ and other major currencies.
